2014, Yorkshire's Greatest Year - Yorkshire Day

2014 has been a landmark year for our lovely county of Yorkshire, with the Grand Depart of the Le Tour de France skyrocketing the wonderful county into the eyes of not only to the millions up and down the UK but across the world. With Le Tour de France setting off in our very own backyard last month millions of people across the world tuned into the event exposing Yorkshire for all its beauty.

So it seems fitting that on August 1st we are to celebrate Yorkshire Day, a day which is celebrated annually to promote the historic county, a time where the county comes together to celebrate all things Yorkshire. Although if you ask anyone from the UK's largest county of Yorkshire they will more than likely tell you that they celebrate Yorkshire Day 365 days a year!

There are several great events taking place on August 1st throughout the county as we all get together to indulge in the celebrations.
