IP Rating stands for International Protection Rating and classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of both solid object and water in electrical enclosures.

 

IP Rating consists of the letter IP followed by two digits and an optional letter. The digits indicate conformity with the conditions summarized in thereference table of IP Rating Code which can be found below.
