UK Water Features trials DPD’s new ‘Predict’ one hour delivery window solution

We appreciate time is precious and there’s nothing more frustrating than having to stay in all day waiting for your parcel to arrive. From the 30th April 2012 we are trialling DPD’s new ‘Predict’ service giving customers one hour delivery time slots. Customers will be notified via either text message or email, if the delivery date is not convenient customers will be able to either text or email to change it – how fantastic does that sound?

By offering this new service to a selection of lucky customers during the next few weeks we hope to free up valuable time which can be spent with family and friends – hopefully in the sunshine!

Just incase you have not noticed, we recently launched our new UK Water Features website. We pride our ourselves on our exceptional customer service and product availability. That being said we launched a new site that does one thing, make all that even better. 

The new UK Water Features site features several new and improved features designed to provide you with a unique online shopping experience without jeopardising any of the service you received before.

Right form the home page you can see a stunning new look to the site. We have re-designed our navigation to give you a simple yet very efficient navigation. The new navigation spectate the site into appropriate categories to make it even easier for you to find what you are looking for.

Providing you with new new, crystal clear large images to enable you to get a better look at the item you are interested in as well as providing you with important product information right there in front of you. There is now no need for you to search the site for anything such delivery information or product status. 

We are exceptionally proud of our live product status feed. If the product you are looking for happens to be out of stock our new site will tell you right there on the product page. This is a great new addition to the site, as we don't want you to order an item that happens to be out of stock and have to wait weeks for delivery. We can even notify you when the product you want comes back in stock. 

We are much more than just water features - stocking everything you need for your garden in one online garden superstore.

We all love our pets, whether you own a dog, cat, hamster or rabbit, we would love to hear your thoughts. Parts of the UK this morning woke to the news that sever weather is heading their way. So far this winter we seem to have had it relatively easy in regarding to the weather. However, it seems like this is about to change. 

The Met Office this morning issued a sever weather  warning for  Strathclyde, the Highlands, western isles, Tayside, Fife and central Scotland. According to the MET Office website, up to 15cm of snow could fall on high ground, with 1-3cm of snow on low level inland areas, while ice is likely to form on untreated surfaces.

It is possible that this cold and wintery weather could be moving south towards the rest of the UK in the next few days so it is advised that we prepare for what is to come and stock up on the winter essentials. Last year there was a shortage of rock salt throughout the UK. Stocking up and storing rock salt in a cool dry place is highly recommended during the winter months. Rock salt is ideal for treating your driveways, pathways and patios to help reduce the amount of ice/snow build up when the temperatures fall. 

Picking up a durable snow shovel is a further winter essential. It is recommended that all vehicles which are traveling in wintery conditions to carry a snow shovel with them in their automobile. Similar to the rock salt shortage of last year, snow shovels were also in high demand and many place across the UK rapidly ran out of stock.

As we all know, last Friday November the 18th was Children in Need, here at UK Water Features we announced that for every online order placed on our website we would donate £1.00 to the Children in Need. We would like to say a big thank you everyone who contributed by placing an order with us. We successfully reached our target and have made the donation to the respected charity foundation. With summer coming to an end, the fall season will shortly be sweeeping in so what better time to run one of the biggest competitions of the summer.
