Alan Titchmarsh's Love Your Gardens

Alan Titchmarsh is a popular gardening expert successful broadcaster and novelist.

Best known for fronting BBC’s Gardeners' World and Ground Force, he’s also completed nearly 40 gardening books and has twice been named Gardening Writer of the Year.

Alan has presented Points of View, Pebble Mill, Songs of Praise and Titchmarsh's Travels and has written several novels including Only Dad and Mr Macgregor as well as his memoirs Trowel and Error and Nob but A Lad.

He was appointed an MBE for his services to horticulture and broadcasting in the 2000 New Year Honours list.

Alan has also been immortalised at Madame Tussauds, is the voice of Gordon the Garden Gnome on CBBC and enjoys sailing. He lives in Hampshire with his wife and family.

 This Friday sees the season opening of Alan's show on ITV 'Love Your Garden' starts on Friday, 10 June 2011, 8:00pm to 8:30pm for 8 weeks.
