The Water Maze at Hever Castle in Kent

Here in the UK we are blessed with stunning countrysides, beautiful historic grounds and some simply amazing culture. What we seem to forget is that some of these historic monuments, manors, houses and beautiful countrysides have to offer other than something pretty to look at.

The Water Maze at Hever Castle in Kent is a remarkable water monument which attracts thousands of tourists each year. Based at the Hever Castle in Kent which was once home to Anne Boleyn this stunning yet entertaining water feature was built in 1999 on the castle grounds. The goal is to attempt to reach the middle folly in the centre of the feature without getting soaked by the powerful water jets. Sounds a little like a game on the hit television show Ninja Warrior but it's not, it's a lovely cast stone water feature built into the grounds of a beautiful castle in Kent.

There are many water features up and down the country which if you're interested in this sort of thing then they are certainly worth checking out. Over the next few month we will be taking a closer look at these amazing focal points, hopefully we will find one near you.
