The Chelsea Flower Show 2015

The Chelsea flower show has now been running for an amazing 102 years! The show has been held in the same location since 1913. Making an exception for the times of the wars when the show couldn’t run. The show is located in London and is run by the RHS (Royal Horticultural Society).

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2015 has arrived! The show has begun today and will be running until Saturday the 23rd May. The Royals visited the show yesterday along with other celebrities such as Sir Ian McKellen and Konnie Huq. Synchronised swimmers also performed in the M&G Retreat Garden. Approximately 165,000 people will visit the Chelsea flower show this year.  There will be a total of 15 different gardens in the competition. Dan Pearson who designed The Laurent-Perrier Chatsworth Garden is the favourite to win the 2015 show. The winner for the best show garden last year was Luciano Giubbilei. Luciano also designed The Laurent-Perrier Garden last year.

Within the 15 different gardens there are many water features that are interpreted into the designs. These range from natural pools to medieval water features. One of the features holds a very powerful meaning. In Ruth Wilmot’s garden the ripples in the water feature represent breast cancer diagnosis in the UK. Here at UK Water Features we are looking forward to the winner being announced!
